Abstract Painting.

IMG_6287.JPG

Within my first year at University, I began to work with a combination of paints and strange found materials and plaster.

The pieces where produced on top of scrap wood that I had found on the sides of roads and behind an industrial estate near my home. The pieces where made by continuously layering layers of paint mixed with plaster, then adding just paint, then just adding plaster and then carving into and scraping away layers to then add even more.

the works went on for so long, that I still don't consider them as finished pieces of work, as I know that there is so much more that I can do to these pieces to continue them further.

The following images are close ups of sections of the series of paintings that I created in 2017.
