SYNERGY - Exhibition 2018

SYNERGY was an exhibition that was held in May 2018.

The exhibition was put together by second year fine art students studying at the university of Derby

The concept for my space was to create a domestic environment to display personal images upon of friends and family. These images had been screen-printed by using multiple layers of bright colours and then a final black layer in order to add in all of the missing details.

The size of the room mad it so people would have to walk up close in order to interact with the pieces and to be able to see them all properly, due to the size that I decided to print the images at. This was done on purpose to ensure there was a certain flow to the room. Th lighting was quite simple, but represented my own bedroom; Fairy lights where hung from the ceiling in order for a sobering light to be cast throughout the room in which my work was displayed.

Along with the screen-prints, I also hand printed wallpaper which included silhouettes of parts of the original prints bodies. In order to make the room have more of a domestic feel to it.
