Derelict Work

Capturing Derelict areas with my camera is something that I surprisingly enjoy doing, the areas that I usually focus on are quite close to my house, due to the fact that there is quite a large industrial area nearby.

The area is surrounded by a lot of flattened out land, In the 50's the area was covered in factories, but the majority of them got knocked down which created the flattened land. Some of those factories are still standing now, But it is too dangerous to go inside and get some great photographs.

Garage.

Located behind my housing estate, there is a slightly run down area of land with a few random garages that aren't used. These have been left empty and un-touched for quite a while. The area surrounding the Garages is also quite flat out and empty, but it is also covered in human waste that has been left behind.

You can only see through the backs of one of the garages, but the space itself would be a potential site for a series of photography work.

Wasteful.

Captured in 2017, Wasteful was a small project that I worked on that highlighted the nations fly tipping problem, the images when taken where then transferred into work within my studio practice for my first year of University.
the location of these captured images was just behind the previous Garage project, as you walk up a steep bank, and look down the other side, it comes to some flat out land, and reveals a large local problem that needs to be dealt with.

Found.

Captured in the summer of 2017, Found is a project where I photographed wasteful items that had been fly tipped all over a certain area of land. The chosen Location was behind a park, which is behind my home; once again, these photographs where used to highlight the nations fly tipping problem and how wasteful we are as a society.
