Single Line Prints

Printing is one of my main forms of creating pieces of work, But when I need to take a break from printing, I then do more printing.

I print even more work, but it's different from what I'm working on for my main project. This helps me distract myself from my main body of work, especially if it's around a stressful time like deadlines, or even if I'm struggling for ideas on what to do for my main body of work and I need a small distraction.

I'm still producing some kind of work, but it is distracting me and helping me generate ideas for my main body of work.
When I do go back to my main body of work, I feel a lot more refreshed and clear headed.

The main prints that I create, are single Line prints. They're very simple to generate, I just take one of my drawings and put it straight onto screen, so there's no messing around with digital copies like usual.
I can put a few different line drawings on screen and create interesting images with overlapping lines with different colours to create slight confusion.

They do make some interesting prints, and occasionally i do wish that I could transfer them over to my main bodies of work, but due to time limits I just use them to clear my head from the main bodies of work that I am producing.

These prints where created within my first semester during my 2nd year on my Fine Art course at Derby University. The project that I was working on at that time was to do with University sub culture, drugs, clubbing and other things that aren't really discussed in the media but are quite common within the university environment. I made these prints as a break from my main body of work, and they then gave me more inspiration for my Second semester of my 2nd year.

Created in 2017, A2 size.
